Enable MPLS Incrementally in a Network
In this video cheat sheet, we're going to be configuring MPLS incrementally on our network. We're going to start off with the baseline show commands, show MPLS LDP neighbor and show MPLS LDP bindings to see if LDP is already running on the router. Then we are going to enter 2 debug commands, debug MPLS LDP peer state machine and debug MPLS LDP messages sent, to see the events unfold as we configure MPLS. Next, we will configure MPLS incrementally. This method allows you to deploy MPLS at a controlled rate. Then we are going to finish up with the verification show commands, show MPLS LDP neighbor, show MPLS LDP bindings and show MPLS interfaces, to compare them to the baseline show commands.
